Executive Vice President, MICROS eCommerce

John E. Gularson has been the Company’s Executive Vice President since July 2012, where he works to ensure that MICROS eCommerce delivers best-of-breed solutions with maximum value for our clients. Previously, John spent six years as Executive Vice President of MICROS Retail.  Prior to joining the company, John held C-level and executive management positions at various software companies where he was recognized for record sales achievements. John is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

Zack Kovolenko oversees MICROS eCommerce’s sales and client services divisions.  In addition to managing the company’s sales efforts across all verticals, Zack oversees MICROS eCommerce’s client services team, ensuring that the company remains committed not just to growing new business, but also to fostering and maintaining loyal relationships within its existing client base. Previously, Zack was Director of Sales and Marketing at SiriusXM Radio, where he was responsible for driving the sales and marketing efforts for numerous B2B, Retail, Online and Direct Sales partnerships and programs. Zack also holds an MBA from Virginia Tech.

Dave Hoffman leads the MICROS eCommerce Product, Innovation and Delivery teams with responsibility for product management, product marketing, product strategy and delivery, as well as design and project management. With over 14 years of product management & marketing experience, Dave is familiar with what it takes to innovate and build great products. He is dedicated to building a platform that redefine the commerce experience in retail and hospitality, and assembled a world-class team to deliver the vision. Dave holds various degrees including BS in Business, MS in Technology and an MBA.

Client Services Manager

Looking for a truly interactive career with a growing company?

As a result of continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking a Client Service Manager.  The Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of account management experience.  This person should be a highly personable, intelligent individual to own and grow key client relationships.  Communication skills are absolutely essential, as you will be interacting with clients and internal team members on a daily basis to strategize and develop online marketing campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with client decision-makers.  Maintain steady, meaningful dialogue to assess client needs and satisfaction and to foster client retention
  • Provide intelligent analysis and reporting of online web analytics through assembly and delivery of monthly reports
  • Maintain proactive management and consistent communication with clients
  • Gather product feedback, customer needs, and overall improvement recommendations to improve value proposition
  • Collaborate with internal staff to create, manage and launch projects to maximize return on investment and ensure that all client needs are met

Successful Candidates will possess:

  • Outstanding customer relationship skills, with ability to grow and retain accounts, build relationships, and quickly spot and communicate potential risks and issues
  • Strong project management, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate analysis of complex data into meaningful information

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a client facing role
  • Agency, Hospitality or retail industry experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of website analytics, Content Management System software, and digital marketing is a plus.

Project Manager

The Project Managers at MICROS are the planners in an organization primarily comprised of hands-on technologists. They are the consultative peers of client project owners and team managers. Project Managers have many years of experience managing the development and delivery of software. They can comfortably speak with anyone about any aspect of a software development project at any stage - and add value.

Responsibilities

  • Listen, learn and consult. This is a client facing services role where you will interact directly and frequently with outside business and technical stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of highly talented, senior, motivated and self-directed software professionals. This is not a job for a micro-manager; it’s a job for a problem avoider / problem solver.
  • Conduct day-to-day client communications. Build credibility and trust. Promote transparency. Manage expectations.
  • Represent the team effectively by keeping things realistic. Avoid slippage. Mitigate risk.
  • Manage Creative, User Experience Technical and QA resources.
  • Establish credibility by climbing the curve to understand anything - at any level of depth - related to the project.
  • Raise red flags and facilitate dialogue that transforms “issues” into actionable plans.
  • Oversee the entire software development life cycle: Gather Requirements. Review requirements. Author specifications. Write stories. Build task lists. Run status reviews. Prioritize. Manage scope. Track Velocity. Re-prioritize. Update the backlog. Stay a step or two ahead.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • US citizenship or green card is required.
  • 3+ years project management experience in a software implementation environment.
  • Skilled in relationship development and management.
  • Strong presentation, written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the retail, web commerce, or distribution industry preferred.
  • Member of Project Management Institute, PMP certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Occasional travel is required.

Sales Engineer

As a result of continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking a Pre Sales/Sales Engineer to focus on the Hotel vertical.  The Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience selling and driving revenue opportunities within large/brand named accounts in the Hotel vertical.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as individual contributor as well as team member regarding all pre sales activity.
  • Develop and deliver high quality, customized presentations and demonstrations to meet specific customer needs.
  • Demonstrate in-depth proficiency in many core MICROS Hotel products and platforms.
  • Become the recognized expert in areas of focus and responsibility.
  • Manage customer visits, presentations, RFP/RFIs as directed by management.
  • Must have the ability to orchestrate a technical and complex sales cycle which requires involvement of multiple resources.
  • Communicates information proactively with other Solution Consultants across the company.
  • Support a team environment that encourages both individual and team accomplishments.
  • Prepare demos for sales presentations that are tailored to customers’ unique requirements.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employee maybe subject to extensive background checks (including fingerprinting) by MICROS customers and/or vendors as a condition to conduct business on their premises.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years in PMSPOS support and/or Installations (MICROS or Fidelio experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Dos/Novell/Dbase/Windows.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Technology Product Consultant

  • Provide monthly performance reports and recommendations including ROI analysis, detailed examination of marketing program statistics, and analysis of web traffic and behavior statistics.
  • Client Support including, but not limited to, property visits, quarterly rollups/strategies, and support client management team.

 

Position Requirements include:

  • Bachelor´s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other relevant major required.
