John E. Gularson has been the Company’s Executive Vice President since July 2012, where he works to ensure that MICROS eCommerce delivers best-of-breed solutions with maximum value for our clients. Previously, John spent six years as Executive Vice President of MICROS Retail.  Prior to joining the company, John held C-level and executive management positions at various software companies where he was recognized for record sales achievements. John is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

Zack Kovolenko oversees MICROS eCommerce’s sales and client services divisions.  In addition to managing the company’s sales efforts across all verticals, Zack oversees MICROS eCommerce’s client services team, ensuring that the company remains committed not just to growing new business, but also to fostering and maintaining loyal relationships within its existing client base. Previously, Zack was Director of Sales and Marketing at SiriusXM Radio, where he was responsible for driving the sales and marketing efforts for numerous B2B, Retail, Online and Direct Sales partnerships and programs. Zack also holds an MBA from Virginia Tech.

Dave Hoffman leads the MICROS eCommerce Product, Innovation and Delivery teams with responsibility for product management, product marketing, product strategy and delivery, as well as design and project management. With over 14 years of product management & marketing experience, Dave is familiar with what it takes to innovate and build great products. He is dedicated to building a platform that redefine the commerce experience in retail and hospitality, and assembled a world-class team to deliver the vision. Dave holds various degrees including BS in Business, MS in Technology and an MBA.

Project Manager

Looking for a truly interactive career with a growing company?

MICROS eCommerce is currently seeking a Website Project Manager – a highly organized individual that can manage multiple interactive efforts in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. Experience managing small web development projects (with a concentration on managing creative) desired. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Manages and coordinates development and maintenance of client websites.
  • Works directly with in-house and outsourced developers, third party vendors and designers to ensure time sensitive website development
  • Meets and interacts daily with Account Managers to provide updates on client project requests and new web site build-outs.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 2-5 years related experience in an online agency or web development company.
  • Demonstrated experience with websites, website design, and other online web applications

Job Description

  • Develops and designs new software products; maintains and supports existing software products; performs technical edits of documentation.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (ideally computer science or engineering), or equivalent experience. 1 year related software development experience.

Art Director

As a result of continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking an Art Director- a creative and innovative individual who possesses a passion for design in all aspects of life. Based on the project objectives and storyboards produced by the Information Architect, the Art Director is responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of design concepts throughout all phases of a project. The AD produces creative deliverables, which may include the creative brief, competitor site analysis, user interface design, “look and feel,” branding characteristics/requirements and style guide.
Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Lead Creative and Project Team to assess creative needs and make design recommendations based on project objectives.  Conceptualize, guide, and explain creative goals and their relationship to site design.
  • Collaborates with User Experience, Project Management, Interface Development, Engineering, and QA to produce and manage creative documentation, concepts and assets.
  • Develops concepts and/or implements the broader concepts established by the Creative Lead. Works on concepts through development, refinement of direction, and final adjustments, leading to full production of the project’s design.
  • Coordinate the handoff of sliced/optimized/diagramed assets to Producers for HTML production.
  • Develops visual design to support and accommodate user interface, information design, interactive design, current technology, and client requirements.
  • Works with quality assurance staff to correct performance problems.
  • Conscientious of budgetary, timeline, and workflow responsibilities.
  • Works with Project/Sales team to estimate hours, timelines, budget and deliverables

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of advertising, design, and/or Web site development experience.  BFA (or equivalent college degree specializing in design) or equivalent on the job experience.
  • The Art Director has a key role in the visual design of a project. They are required to communicate and work closely with other key members of the projects in order to accomplish the goals of the project in a timely manner.
  • Art Directors must have strong verbal communication skills, extensive knowledge of PhotoShop, Illustrator, and ImageReady. Candidates must also have experience with typography and identity and/or online design, information design, and interactive design. Flash, Director or other interactive software is a plus. 
  • Must be an able to grasp a client’s brand and business, and be able to make intelligent choices regarding design imperatives and technical requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Works in a cross-functional team to develop websites and Internet applications.
  • Performs various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of web front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and Web/Internet services. 
  • Stay abreast of latest user interface and interaction design trends
  • May involve coding and integration of text, graphics, sound, and/or video.
  • Contributes to the design and usability of websites and Web-based applications throughout conceptualization, development, and implementation process. 
  • Performs heuristic reviews and tasks and work flow analyses.
  • Assists in usability testing of all Web user interfaces.
  • Develops user scenarios, task models and conceptual and formal Web site prototypes.
  • Provides documentation to help maintain Web design and usability integrity.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  
Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or other related degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Deep knowledge of information architecture, interaction flow, user interface and visual design.
  • A solid understanding of web design principles and best use of current web technologies and scalable dynamic interfaces.
  • Proficient web development skills using XHTML, Javascript, DHTML/DOM and CSS.
  • Strong knowledge of industry visual design tools including AJAX and Photoshop/Image Ready

  • Create and manage Project Management process documentation
