Jos Schaap

Senior Vice President of e-Commerce, MICROS Systems/President, MICROS eCommerce

At MICROS eCommerce, Jos manages all aspects of the company’s growth, performance, strategic direction, and operations, including its integration into MICROS’ global organization. Prior to leading MICROS eCommerce, Jos worked for eight years as Vice President of Hotel Product Development at MICROS Systems, where he directed the company’s OPERA product-development team. Under his leadership, OPERA became the number-one software system for hotel property management, expanding its long-standing client base with a host of distribution solutions and comprehensive functionality. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jos brings a wealth of expertise to the MICROS eCommerce team.

Senior Vice President, Strategy

Paul provides strategic guidance to hospitality brands and leads MICROS eCommerce product and service development. By focusing on the nexus of marketing, creative and technology, Paul helps clients maximize their online visibility, increase conversion and drive incremental revenue. Since January 2010, Paul has overseen the expansion of MICROS eCommerce’s presence and capability internationally as well as led the integration of MICROS eCommerce services with MICROS software. Paul is a regular speaker at industry events, bringing practical insights to eCommerce issues facing hotel marketers. Previously, Paul scaled MICROS eCommerce's creative and technology services department to effectively meet the company’s explosive growth and increasingly complex accounts. Prior to MICROS eCommerce, Paul was Director of Application Strategy at Bixler Incorporated, where he directed all major client engagements. Paul has also held management positions in the advertising and publishing sectors. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Vice President, Client Services

As head of Client Services at MICROS eCommerce, Hector oversees the Client Services and Web Marketing Departments. He manages the day to day operations as well as the strategic online direction for all clients to maximize conversion and increase brand awareness. Hector joined MICROS eCommerce in January 2011 and brings to MICROS eCommerce more than 13 years of sales, marketing, and operations experience in the hospitality industry, having held a number of management positions with MICROS Systems, Inc. Prior to joining MICROS eCommerce, Hector served as Director of Operations for the MICROS Mid-Atlantic District Office.

Terri Miller

Vice President, Production

Terri joined MICROS eCommerce as a Project Manager in July 2006 to manage the planning and implementation of creative and development-related websites and applications for the company’s full suite of clients. Utilizing her strong interactive agency, financial services and project management background, she quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted a year later to become Director of Project Management. Over the next several years, she honed her skill set and management skills, helping implement major internal and external company efforts. She streamlined MICROS eCommerce’s web operations, process and delivery, while keeping an eye on developing competitive service offerings and pricing. Most recently, she spearheaded the expansion of her department to better service client’s needs and implementing MICROS eCommerce’s project management/ticketing system. As a result, she was named Vice President of Production in 2011, where she now oversees the Project Management, Production and Copywriting Departments as well as external relations with MICROS eCommerce’s design and development vendors.

Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Zack Kovolenko oversees MICROS eCommerce’s sales division.  Together with MICROS eCommerce’s dedicated sales professionals, Zack is responsible for managing the company’s sales efforts across all verticals. Prior to joining MICROS eCommerce, Zack was Director of Sales and Marketing at SiriusXM Radio, where he was responsible for driving the sales and marketing efforts for numerous B2B, Retail, Online and Direct Sales partnerships and programs. A seasoned and award-winning sales & marketing executive with more than 12 years of experience,  Zack has held several management positions at SiriusXM and was an instrumental sales force during the early years of the satellite radio industry.  Zack also holds an MBA from Virginia Tech.

Regional Sales Manager

Job Description:

 

  • Research and execute Pay-Per-Click marketing campaigns.
  • Develop strategic linking marketing campaigns to execute free and paid ad placements and gain maximum SEO placement for client.
  • Provide monthly performance reports and recommendations including ROI analysis, detailed examination of marketing program statistics, and analysis of web traffic and behavior statistics.
  • Client Support including, but not limited to, property visits, quarterly rollups/strategies, and support client management team.

 

Position Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor´s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other relevant major required.
  • 2+ years previous marketing/hospitality experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and the Internet.

As a result of continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking a Website Production Coordinator – a highly organized individual that can manage multiple interactive efforts in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. Experience managing small web development projects (with a concentration on managing creative) desired. 

 Job Description:

  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of client websites, banner ads, and email templates
  • Coordinate and manage for various projects, schedules and project requests from inception to the final product, prior to launch
  • Manage and be accountable for project schedules and deliverables
  • Assist in planning/scheduling upcoming projects
  • Create and manage Project Management process documentation
  • Track and measure progress on multiple ongoing tasks/projects and keep Project Managers abreast of project status
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Creative Teams on a daily basis to ensure success and timeliness of projects
  • Coordinate directly with programmers and designers to ensure on time website development and maintenance updates
  • Assist Project Managers to manage multiple accounts simultaneously, including requirements gathering and defining the scope of new projects.  Proactively communicate with internal account team and clients during the development of projects
  • Develop and demonstrate a good understanding of the client’s business, their needs, expectations, and requirements
  • Assist with production work, when necessary

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of the web development process
  • Must have a basic understanding of the following:Web usability and information architecture

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with client decision-makers, by maintaining steady, meaningful dialogue to assess client needs and satisfaction and foster retention
  • Manage the lifecycle of website development and ongoing maintenance, by collaborating with creative, technical, and client teams to fulfill client needs.
  • Provide intelligent analysis and reporting of online web analytics through assembly and delivery of monthly reports.
  • Facilitate email-marketing campaigns, to drive incremental revenue, increase brand awareness, and improve customer loyalty.
  • Maintain proactive management and consistent communication with sales team and clients; gather product feedback, customer needs, and overall improvement recommendations; and work with production team to ensure that all client needs are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or a related field
  • Minimum of three years interactive/online agency experience is preferred
  • History of successful strategic customer account/client management and development
  • Strong project management, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate analysis of complex data into meaningful information

  • 2-5 years related experience in an online agency or web development company.
  • Demonstrated experience with websites, website design, and other online web applications
  • Basic understanding of the technical aspects of web development and web technology:
    • Solid understanding of HTML and CSS. Understanding of Photoshop, Flash and other development technologies
    • Basic understanding of common banner ad and email creative formats
    • Experience with search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate with company clients in order to understand their needs and then to transform conversations to action as it relates to changes to the websites.
